Between 6 and 14 passengers, depending on the aircraft
A private jet carries between 6 and 14 passengers. The number depends on the size of the aircraft and how its cabin is configured. In the Flyzar fleet, the Phenom 100 seats up to 6; the Learjets, 7 or 8; the Challenger 605, up to 10; and our three Gulfstreams, up to 14.
That figure is the aircraft's maximum seating. You can fly with every seat taken, but a full aircraft leaves less margin for baggage or fuel. Further down we explain why, and how we handle it when we quote.
All our aircraft depart from San Fernando, 25 km from downtown Buenos Aires, and are chartered as a whole, with their own crew: the aircraft flies with your group only.
Passengers per aircraft in our fleet
These are the maximums for each aircraft, by category. Two aircraft of the same model can seat a different number of passengers, depending on their cabin layout:
- Light jet: Phenom 100 (LV-GQN), up to 6 passengers, with a range of 1,833 km. Ideal for short hops.
- Midsize jet: Learjet 60 LV-CUE and LV-GCK, 8 passengers; Learjet 60 LV-FUT, 7; Learjet 45 LV-GVX, 8; Learjet 40 LV-CJY, 7. Range between 3,334 and 3,704 km.
- Heavy jet: Challenger 605 (LV-HQR), up to 10 passengers and 4 beds, with a range of 6,852 km.
- Long range: Gulfstream V (LV-KLH and LV-VEG) and Gulfstream G400 (LV-SYG), up to 14 passengers, with up to 10,742 km of range.
- Helicopter: Bell 429 (LV-FKY), up to 6 passengers; Robinson R44 (LV-FUP), up to 3.
A private jet for 10 people
For ten passengers, the aircraft to choose is the Challenger 605 (LV-HQR). It has the widest cabin in its class: 2.29 m wide, 1.86 m tall and 8.63 m long, so you can walk around standing up. It takes up to 10 bags, and four of its seats convert into beds.
With a range of 6,852 km, it flies long regional and continental routes non-stop. It suits teams who need to arrive rested and families travelling with holiday luggage.
If you are seven or eight, a Learjet 60 or the Learjet 45 is enough for regional flights. And if you are ten but the flight is very long or you carry a lot of luggage, it is worth moving up to a Gulfstream: more cabin per person and up to twice the baggage space.
A private jet for 14 people
Fourteen is the maximum in our fleet, offered by our three Gulfstreams: two Gulfstream Vs (LV-KLH and LV-VEG) and a Gulfstream G400 (LV-SYG). The cabins are 13.4 m long in the Gulfstream V and 13.7 m in the G400, 2.24 m wide and 1.88 m tall.
The Gulfstream Vs take up to 20 bags and have 5 beds; the G400, 16 bags and 4 beds. All three have Starlink on board, and LV-VEG adds a shower. With a range of 10,742 km, the Gulfstream V crosses oceans non-stop and links Buenos Aires and Miami in a single flight.
For a group of fourteen, travelling together in one cabin keeps things simple: one schedule, one terminal and no one waiting for a connection.
Flying as a group: weight, baggage and range
Every aircraft has a maximum take-off weight, shared between passengers, baggage and fuel. With every seat taken and a lot of luggage, a long flight may need less fuel on board and a technical stop. On short flights it is rarely an issue.
That is why, when we quote, we ask how many passengers are flying and how much luggage they bring. With that, our operations team works out the aircraft's weight and balance and confirms the flight can be done as you planned, or proposes an alternative.
Comfort matters too. On flights of more than three or four hours, leaving a few seats free gives everyone room to stretch out, work or sleep. And since the whole aircraft is chartered, the cost of the flight is shared among those on board.
Which aircraft for your group
The best way to choose is to tell us about the trip: send us the route, date, number of passengers and luggage on WhatsApp or by email, and we will suggest the aircraft. We operate 24/7. As a guide:
- Up to 6 passengers on short hops: Phenom 100.
- 6 to 8 passengers on regional flights: Learjet 60, 45 or 40.
- Up to 10 passengers, or long continental flights: Challenger 605.
- 11 to 14 passengers, or intercontinental flights: Gulfstream V or G400.
- Short transfers to ranches and estates: Bell 429, up to 6 passengers.
